Belgian tourist drowned in Phuket

Phuket in Thailand is a Belgian tourist in front of his wife drowned Thursday. The man ignored a red flag and was swept away by high waves on his jet ski. The News reports that today.

Laem Singh Beach, also known as the beach of death, is one of the most breathtaking beaches of Phuket tourist, but swimming is sometimes particularly dangerous because of strong waves. Thursday which cost the lives of two people, a 29-year-old Russian and the 42-year old Belgian Laurent W. from Bergen. The Belgian was staying with his wife at a resort a few miles from the beach on the west coast.

where W. the water went with his rented vessel, hung a red flag. Forbidden to swim, because of danger. Yet the Belgian went into the water. Not much later he seized by foot waves. On the beach attempted to resuscitate the man but he died in the ambulance en route to the hospital.

“We really did not know that it was forbidden to go there in the water. Red flag that we have not seen, “said his wife. According to local authorities hung the flag indeed rescuers yesterday and did nothing but take tourists out of the water all day.
