There is no city in Thailand as controversial as this former fishing village. Everyone has an opinion about Pattaya, ranging from great to terrible.
Why is there so much discussion about this city? And is it correct? Are not particularly prejudices that work has helped to imaging? Pattaya was once a natural exponent of the Thai sex industry. But now, cities like Bangkok or Phuket also pulls a nice tune. Certain neighborhoods in Bangkok really do not fall for the infamous neighborhoods in Pattaya.
Pattaya has developed significantly in recent years and now has much more to offer than just Walking Street or dubious nightlife. Indeed, there is in my opinion not a city in Thailand has spoiled many tourist entertainment to offer
When it comes to Pattaya, it is black or white. It seems like there is nothing between. Whether you are a fan or you hate this place. Of course everyone is entitled to his or her own opinion, but let’s keep the discussion clean. So there are Thailand goers and expats who have strong opinions about Pattaya but never been. But how can you judge something if you have not seen it?
And even if you’ve been there 10 years ago, says little. Pattaya has changed a lot over the years. So if you form an opinion, be objective and stop enumerating the known prejudices. Go look there and then come to a judgment.
Hence the assertion of the week: If you’ve never been there and you have an opinion, stop whining. Go there first look for some calls.
